Q: Tell us about yourself

I am Pao Reganit. I recently graduated with a degree in I.T. Entrepreneurship and I am currently living in Hong Kong. I built a startup with my college friends in the Philippines called Akads PH. Our startup makes it easy for parents to book online tutors for their kids. Ever since we launched last August (2020), we have over 100+ tutorial sessions using a simple booking website I coded using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Google Forms.

To improve our startup, we hired more experienced software developers to build our new all-in-one web application that has tutor-parent matching systems, online payments, and video calls.

I joined Altcademy’s full-stack web development bootcamp because I want to create more features for my startup and build more tech-solutions.

Q: How are you liking Altcademy so far?

I tried learning from YouTube and Udemy, however, it’s not in text-form. This makes it hard to go back and review specific lessons throughout the course.

I like Altcademy’s online text-based learning curriculum because the lessons are very detailed and easy to understand. In addition, having a personal mentor who I can easily message and call really removes my fear of getting stuck on coding challenges.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

I aspire to be a tech-entrepreneur wherein I could leverage software to improve current solutions and build new ones for people to use.
