Q: Tell us about yourself!

I live in Santiago, Chile! I actually studied physical therapy in college, but bureaucracy made me want to switch my career to something else, like programming. I have always been interested in programming. Also, in Chile, most things here are not digital, but we are going through a transformation, so we will need a lot of programmers. It’s the career of the future.

Q: Why did you choose Altcademy?

In-person bootcamps are too expensive here in Santiago. I also didn’t feel confident in them. So, I was looking for online bootcamps, and I found Altcademy. I read up a bit about Altcademy and decided to do it! It was a great decision.

In Santiago, companies are also mostly looking for Ruby on Rails developers with knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so Altcademy’s curriculum is a great match!

Q: What are your future goals?

I want to work full-time as a programmer. Every company is trying to do things online now, especially with COVID-19. It’s crazy. The average salary of a programmer here is quite good as well! I am recommending Altcademy to others around me!
